The Battle of Sand Islet Province is the second armed conflict in the Third Midwayan Civil War. The conflict started when the Sturmabteilung attacked the Sand Islet Province, in order to secure it from the Union of Midway. The attacks started out as simple guerrilla warfare, but tanks from the Greater Midwayan Empire soon arrived, and the tactics changed. Hermann Klintzsch ordered a tactic, which was essentially a modified blitzkrieg. The Midwayan soldiers, not trained to take on a blitzkrieg attack, quickly found themselves overrun and began suffering heavy casualties. Then the Midwayan generals ordered a full retreat, ending the battle in a victory for the Sturmabteilung.
