A Seeker control upgrade unit was responsible for assembling and releasing Hunter-Seeker droids. Another unit was the ion cannon uplink, which allowed a commander to call down an ion cannon strike. Another upgrade was introduced shortly before the Firestorm Crisis. The drop pod control plug allowed for interfacing with space stations located in lower orbit and the GDSS Philadelphia to call down drop pod reinforcements. Eventually, the functions of the building were taken over by two other, more specialized buildings (the space command uplink and ion cannon control).

- The Upgrade Center allows you to train up your Mechs' skills, helping them win battles and defeat harder opponents.he Upgrade Center is where you are able to increase the base skill of a Mech (Targetting, Intuition, Evasion, and Movement). This can be done using free daily operations, energy, operations bought from Pack Credit, or salvaged operations from a scrapped Mech. Energy can be used in the Upgrade Center at level 20. You can use a set amount of energy per day, this will roll over for up to a week.

Free daily operations are awarded at each cycle. Commanders start off with 20 free op's a day. This can be increased for Commander Points in the Efficiency branch of commander skills page. There is currently no cap on storing daily operations. Energy can be used in the Upgrade Center at level 20. You can use a set amount of energy per day, this will roll over for up to a week. Purchasing operations with pack credit will put them into 'stored operations' which have no cap and can be used any time. When an old Mech is scrapped in the Scrap Yard some of the upgrade operations invested in it can be salvaged and use don a new Mech. This needs to be done when the Mech is bought. These are released over a period of days for use on that specific Mech. The Upgrade center works like a game of Hot/Cold. You click an area on the blueprint, and get a gain, ranging from worst to Best, and van click various areas to get a different gain. It works the same way when upgrading two skills at once, but they will most likely not have the same gain on the same spot. There is no advantage to upgrading just one skill so it is recommended to always train two skills at once.
