- The stars and constellations in the sky of Kayna are intimatley bound up with the powers of magic. Indeed, many scholars have argued that magic only exists because of their cosmic influence. The twelve calendar months and associated thirty-six constellations of stars are shared by every culture, whilst their exact names vary with each distinct language. The movement of the constellations is known to exert influence over the very nature of Kaynan magic. While it is unknown exactly how much "fate" is determined by this celestial dance, it is clear that at certain times every year magic is warped by their passing. Whilst this is not always detrimental, a mage would do well to have knowledge of the stars to avoid unwelcome suprises.
