Sentinel 868 is an Ice Golem created to guard the door to the dam control room of the ancient city of Anodunos. When the Avatar met him in Ultima Underworld II, it quickly became clear that Sentinel 868 was totally oblivious to the fact that Anodunos had stopped existing a long time ago. While he told the Avatar what was behind this door, he warned the hero not to try to pass. The Avatar had to continue onward however, and so was forced to destroy the Sentinel in combat to get the key to the door.
