Keons were curious, rodent-like marsupials, that had an ability to mimic sounds. This ability allowed the creature to repeat words uttered in the vicinity, though at a higher pitch. Keons flicked their tails back and forth, perked up their ears, and gazed with their huge eyes to show curiosity. They had four digits on each birdlike forefoot. The Human smuggler Ramsey Lanclo kept a female as a pet for a few weeks, although he did not have the proper permit and license to do so. The creature cost him 1,500 credits, and he gave it to Imperial Customs agent Hewet, in order to distract her from searching his cargo, a large amount of glitterstim. She in turn gave it to her daughter, Kora, who lived on Yityl.
