However, Clare Arnold and Susan Keats took it upon themselves to push them back together. Clare and Susan roped Steve Sanders and Brandon Walsh into a triple date with Nat and Joan to rekindle the flame. The plan worked when they visited the sight of their old home. Nat took Joan in his arms and gave her a kiss. They eventually got married and had a son named Frankie.
