In 1967, before he was turned into a monster, Dr. Cockroach, whose real name is then unknown, developed a machine that would give humans the will to survive, like cockroaches. With the mission complete, Dr. Cockroach and his friends were saved, from falling, by General Monger, riding atop a revived Insectosaurus, who pupated into a butterfly-like creature. After Modesto, and the world, were saved, the citizens of Modesto didn't treat Dr. Cockroach or his friends like monsters anymore, but rather heroes.
