The unique fires that are generated by its utilization have been regarded as Nightmarish Flames (Romaji: Akumuen; Kanji: 悪夢炎) that produce the Fear Release (Romaji: Kyouton; Kanji: 恐遁) when subjected to Shape Transformation. After he or she has performed the necessary hand seals, Dokushin will generate a mass of the Immortal Fires of Samādhi (Romaji: Sammai no Fumetsu no Kaji; Kanji: サマディの不滅の火事) by means of molding chakra in a manner that causes it to be in possession of a disproportionately large amount of spiritual energy and then applying Fire Release-based Nature Transformation to the chakra in order to bestow the characteristics of fire onto the chakra. Unlike a conventional fire, the Immortal Fires of Samādhi lack the physicality that is necessary to inflict an actual burn upon an entity. Thus whenever chakra - regardless of whether or not the chakra is free-form or in the form of a jutsu - is subjected to a "burn" from the Immortal Fires of Samādhi, it's directly converted from an actuality into a possibility. It becomes naught but An Empty Dream. It should be noted that Sage Techniques are immune to the Immortal Fires of Samādhi due to the fact that the intermolecular force that is exerted by natural energy is far too powerful for the intermolecular force that is exerted by spiritual energy to break on its own.
