An unnamed policeman who worked on patrol in Weatherfield in the early 1960s. His responsibilities included working undercover in plain clothes. In 1960, he and a female colleague reported Coronation Street Corner Shop owner Florrie Lindley for breaking licencing laws. In May 1961, he investigated a break-in at the Rovers Return Inn and in August of the same year he was involved in the search for a missing box of dangerous sleeping tablets. The first of many unnamed police officers to appear in Coronation Street, the character was played by actor Bill Croasdale.
