Colonial Independence Day was a holiday and celebration of full secession from the Unified Earth Government on the colony of Victoria. In 2538, the Victorian parliament declared an official holiday and day of celebration on August 5th of every year to commemorate the declaration of the Victorian Independent State as a sovereign government, and Victoria as an independent colony. The holiday was celebrated with a military parade by the Victorian Independent Army Capital Defense Battalion, Victorian Independent Air Force Capital Wing, and local militias in the capital of Agley. Similar celebrations were common in other provinces.
