The Kazakhstan-Bowasia Free Trade Agreement is a treaty signed by the Federated Republic of Bowasia and the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 24, 2012. The treaty was negotiated by President Travis Peters of Bowasia and was one the primary achievements of his presidency. The treaty was part of a campaign to strengthen relations with countries of the former Soviet Union. However, this is the only treaty that Bowasia signed with the aforementioned former Soviet republics. Kazakhstan was very interested in forming a treaty with Bowasia as Bowasia was seen as the successor to the United States and therefore had considerable economic power.
