As the Highborne arrived in their new lands, the family of Quel'Arrad began to collect some of the old things they had brought from their former homeland. Included in all of their findings, ther were a lot of spells and rituals especially devoted to the worship of nature and the spirits. Their collection grew, and after some time, they had quite a large wooden chest filled with spells, rituals and other types of magical information. These were all writen down on scrolls, and it was quite a mess.

  • As the Highborne arrived in their new lands, the family of Quel'Arrad began to collect some of the old things they had brought from their former homeland. Time went by, and the Highborne slowly but surely turned to the sun. The collection of spells grew, and so did the family. By the time of the Troll wars, a matriarch in the family known as Aveeva Quel'Arrad collected all the spells in a book. The book was beautifully decorated with gold and the cover itself was in red veltet. As time went on, and the amount of magical information added to the book grew, Aveeva saw that the book was to precious for the family, and she would rather die than see it fall in the hands of someone else. Aveeva started to add a series of defencive spells to the book, as well as casting them on the book. She used incantations which needed sacrefice, both in the form of her own blood, but also the blood of others... In the end, the protection of the book was stunning, and it is said to be perhaps one of the best magical protected items in all of Quel'Thalas at the time. The name of the book was the Hall'Weli book of Spells. Though through time, they came to call it "Halliwell book of spells" at first, resulting in the family changing their last name to "Halliwell", but as time went by, darker and more sinister spells were added, and the red veltet was replaced with black silk, and the book was re-named "The Halliwell Grimoire".
