While the very earliest examples of Stofonian were written in Aksurst usking the Elosian Alphabet, the Stofonians who migrated to what eventually became the Kingdom of Stofonia appear to have taken up the writing systems of the people they displaced, the Mayols. The Mayols, in turn, appear to have created their alphabet using letters from the Ipsilstanst.
