| - Anshar is the chaotic god of the Caveman pantheon.
- King Anshar the Wealthy was the ruler of Barjassil prior to the War of the Andain in the First Age. He had bad blood with the Band of the Fox, particularly Haruko Mizushima who had stolen his most valuable possessions, the Dragon Diamond and Crown Princess Xezbeth, from the palace. He was mostly a puppet king who was influenced by the Court of Judges until he eventually asked Kagetsu I to annex Barjassil with Ancient Maar Sul so that the corrupt Court and the treacherous Captain Gilgamesh would not subjugate the kingdom and the people of Barjassil could live in prosperity under the Andain's guidance. Anshar was slain by the vengeful Gilgamesh shortly afterwards, but the legacy of Barjassil itself and its people survived thanks to its annexation with Maar Sul.
- Anshar. Bóg magii, nocy i demonów, bóg morderstw.
- The Anshar is a ship in the Ades fleet. It is the head of the First Fleet with Sadri as its commander. By comparison to other fleet flagships the Anshar seems to be an upgraded version of old federal battleships as it shares with them its bow and stern profile, as well as the bridge configuration: the Anshar has a multi level bridge connected by stairs with the commander's post at the top - a common feature of an old federal ship, in contrast to the bridge of other flagships such as Impetus, Raktavija, Admirari and Senapati.
- According to Sumerian folklore, Anshar is the master of air and water. He appears every 1,000 years to do battle with Kishnar to determine who would rule the Earth.
- Anshar - występuje tylko w grze Sailor Moon: Another Story.
- He is the leader of the Oppositio Senshi and Sin's younger brother, who she strives to protect no matter what. Named for the Babylonian sky god, Anshar and Sin play a significant part in the overall plot, particularly when Anshar befriends Chibiusa. Anshar was generally confused as to what was really going on. He was good-hearted, but would often do the wrong thing out of a desire to make his sister happy, which conflicted with his friendship (and crush) with Chibiusa. He was always seen with his pet cat Kishar.

- Since the two gods were immortal, neither of them could die and as a result, their battles always ended in a tie and preserved the balance of the Earth. Eventually, Anshar had the idea that if he and Kishnar possessed two mortals and fought to the death, one of them would win. When the Ghostbusters were stranded on their island, Anshar possessed Peter Venkman and Kishnar possessed Ray Stantz.
- Anshar, the Visage of the Firmament is one of the Apocalyptic Forms available to the Fallen, specifically those of the House of Asharu. Appearing as strange, almost alien beings with large eyes and wings, the Anshar see beyond mortal means with enhanced senses and a strong intuition. Although they strive to connect and create relationships, they themselves are afraid of growing too close to things that can hurt them in one way or another. High-Torment Anshar shroud themselves in mist and smoke, and shrink into bony bags of flesh. They are difficult to spot, and can attack quickly and destructively while being almost totally aware of what is going on around them. Eventually, they fade away completely, causing them to lose every connection they ever had.
- In Akkadian mythology, Anshar (also spelled Anshur), which means "sky pivot" or "sky axle", is a sky god. He is the husband of his sister Kishar. They might both represent heaven (an) and earth (ki). Both are the second generation of gods; their parents being the serpents Lahmu and Lahamu and grandparents Tiamat and Apsu. In their turn they are the parents of Anu another sky god. During the reign of Sargon II, Assyrians started to identify Anshar with their Assur in order to let him star in their version of Enuma Elish. In this mythology Anshar's spouse was Ninlil.
