In addition, the conventional Kicho Hyeong Ee Bu uses only Front Stances (aka Long Stances). This advanced variation supplements the Front Stance with Back Stances. In fact, the student frequently must transition between Back Stances and Front Stances as they move up and down the center of the I-shape. Also, the Punches along the top and bottom of the I-shape have also been supplemented with Front Kicks prior to each punch.
