The Swordfish is a large tavern in Betancuria South. It is open in the evening (from 8pm to 6am). The tavern is filled with drunk and rowdy customers, and is definitely not a safe place for unescorted women. The bartender refuses to serve the Princess, saying he does not cater to prostitutes. Captain Ters can be found in a side room, dining with his fellow sailors.

- The Swordfish is an enormous, brightly polished ship that is more reminiscent of a manta ray than its namesake, if it weren't for the long jagged snout of the ship. Two long sweeping arms balloon outward to corral both potential sides outside of matches. The center has a conjoined bridge area atop with plenty of visible windows, including an enormous skylight to show the nova spiral outside. Beneath the bridge is a thick, potbellied structure where the arena itself is housed. It looks almost detachable, and just might be if things get out of control. The entire surface seems compartmentalized and reinforced for support. Three huge thrusters in the rear constantly spin at a leisurely pace, to keep the Swordfish in proper orbit during the games.
- The Xiphiidae – widely known by their low gothic translation, the Swordfish – are a space marine chapter of the 21st ‘cursed’ founding. They are known for their unparalleled skill in subaqueous and void warfare. Records of the discovery of their homeworld, Atanis IV, in 892.M34 are the very first openly accessible official records which refer to the Rhinos space marine chapter. Alongside the Rhinos and the Angels Mortiferous, the Swordfish are now in pursuit of the traitorous Dust Lords, moving ever deeper into the Ghoul Stars.
