  • List of bosses
  • __TOC__
  • Bosses are large AI-controlled enemies that spawn on maps after a given amount of time. They usually require more than one player to take down due to their large amounts of health and attack strength, other than the relatively weak bosses. Bosses can be found in any Game Mode except Maze mode, and some of them can enter Bases without getting harmed in Team Modes. They give 30,000 experience points to the player who destroys them (The one who deals the finishing blow), which is enough to instantly upgrade a player from Level 1 to Level 45.
  • These Mutations arose as a result of the first experiments using the mutagen that created all the creatures. All of them (except Magician) served as guards to Curien's laboratory, with Hangedman being the only one with a slightly different purpose, which was to assure the death of anyone on the grounds, rather than lab defense from inside the house. These Mutations would form the basis for almost all subsequent Mutations, with Chariot and Hangedman directly serving as the templates for both creature components in the boss Judgment in The House of the Dead 2.
  • As a last resort, Damien climbs into this giant robot and challenges the Snowboard Kids to a final battle. The goal is to destroy the robot before it reaches the finish line, but this is no easy task. It will shoot both Bombs and Freeze Shots, and will drop debris on the course whenever hit. Ten hits are initially required to beat this boss, but three more are needed to truly finish the job .

  • Bosses are monsters that differ greatly from the average monster. They are more powerful than most other monsters, and it quite often takes an entire squad of players to defeat one. Boss monsters aren't entirely avoidable, since some quests require a player and their squad to defeat one. There are different kinds of bosses in Perfect World: World Boss, FB (Final Boss, or Final Battle), Mini-Boss, and TT.
  • These Bosses are found on Assassination missions. Each boss has a set of lines to "taunt" the Tenno sent to kill them. They drop mods and resources upon death. Bosses from the first game release Gold when defeated, but the Gold fades after a few seconds. Bosses from the second game instead release a Big Crystal fragment.

  • Boss battles in the Gradius series, are found at the end of a stage, these large enemies are far stronger than the opponents the player has faced up to that point. These boss fights often involve targeting specific portions of the enemy, or eliminating multiple limbs or parts. Often these boss battles are pre-empted by short Sub Boss battles. The Gradius series has a multitude of Boss Types, which are outlined below:
  • Bosses are stronger (and usually bigger) hostile NPCs who have multiple powerful abilities that allow them to damage you with ease. They spawn when the portal is lowered to a certain amount of health, when the portal has been completely destroyed, or at certain times during a quest. The list below shows all of the current Juggernauts, Mini-Bosses, and Bosses from all of the islands. Graahken'Hulk (Located at Bloxian Island) Graknight (Located at Vite Island) Bonneking (Located at Katar Island) Kor (Located at Nomad Island) Malgorok'Zyth (Located at Axsuroth Island)
  • The so-called Tibia "Bosses" are unique in their own races. They are stronger than any of the creatures like them, and they are relatively rare to encounter. Bosses do not spawn like normal creatures, they are only found in a world on rare occasions depending upon the abilities of the players in that world. If they are not killed in one day, then they disappear until another time. The most powerful bosses (like Orshabaal) are usually forewarned by multiple white text messages appearing onscreen, like the monster raids. Most other bosses randomly spawn without warning, providing an unpleasant surprise for anyone in the area.

  • Bosses are characters in The Getaway and The Getaway: Black Monday who are harder to kill than the average enemy you encounter. A boss must be defeated in order for the player to pass the mission. Bosses will typically be reasonably hard to kill and are always an important character who has previously been seen in cutscenes and involved in the games storyline in some way. The only optional boss the player will encounter is Mitch, based on a player choice made earlier on in the game.
  • Each zone in Nodiatis has its own and unique boss that can be killed for a boss item or quests. The first time that you kill a particular boss, you are guaranteed to get a non-epic non-travel gear item drop. After that first time, that boss will never drop another loot item again for you, even if you reroll. Certain bosses may also drop specific travel gear or fishing pole if you need them, i.e. you don't already have them in inventory.
  • In I wanna be the guy, bosses are powerful enemies that act as a means of progression throughout the game. As described in the intro, they are the eight "non-robot master" units that The Kid must beat in order become The Guy. In a single save file, The bosses that the player has killed are shown at the bottom of the profile. Once you kill a boss, they cannot be fought again. As well, killing the first six bosses will unlock the warps in The Room of Divine Transportation.
  • The bosses have a large variety of attacks that the soldiers need to adapt in order to dodge them, at least attempt to when it comes to some of the more deadly ones. In many cases, the bosses will have at infinite supply of minions following them, which may require the luring tactics to allow direct focus on the boss.
  • Bosses is an all-encompassing word that is often used to describe any overpowered single enemies who must be killed to progress in game, and cannot be avoided, but most of the time Act Bosses are meant by Bosses. Unique Monsters and Super Uniques are also often included.( Main article: Act Boss) In addition to Act Bosses, the following enemies are included into Boss category: Bosses are either highly resistant or immune to Crowd Control effects, and in the first two games, also had significant resistances to damage.
