He was a good scorer in the minors but was unable to translate that into NHL goals. He won the Allan Cup with the Montreal Royals in 1947. In 1950-51 he played his last NHL game with the Canadiens. In 74 games he scored 7 goals and 13 assists. He continued to play senior hockey until 1958 when he retired. He took off the 1954-55 season to coach the Trois Rivieres Flambeaux of the Quebec Junior Hockey League. He also coached the senior Matane Red Rocks in 1953-54, the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in 1955-56, the Cornwall Chevies in 1956-57, and the Sherbrooke Castors in 1966-67.
