The Lordan of a Kencyr House is a Lord's designated heir. By tradition the Knorth Lordan attends Tentir. It is a tradition of the college that while there, each Lordan is judged by the Randon Council and those deemed unfit to rule the Kencyrath are murdered. The last Lordan so deemed was Greshan. As of Bound in Blood, it had not yet been specified whether the Council members act individually or collectively, but both Sheth and Harn have repeatedly warned that Jame will face opposition from those determined to prevent her from graduating, either by killing her or making her surrender her precarious grip on the Lordan's position, as few support Torisen's decision to make his sister his Lordan.
