| - The episode starts with Spectra and Helios walking in a place covering shrouds of darkness with spirits flying around them everywhere. Spectra then remarks that if these “ghosts” are supposed to be their test – they certainly are not doing their job. Helios asks what their test will be on and he hopes it’s a battle – since he knows he can do that easily. Spectra says he doesn’t know what their test will be but he believes it should be easy for them since everything usually is. Then, they arrive at what appears to be a large, dark battleground with Darkor sitting on a high chair looking at what appear to be holographic images. Spectra says they have arrived with Darkor raising his hand to silence them and says one moment. After a few seconds, the screens disappear and he stands up. He says they says welcome Keith Clay or would you be rather called Spectra. Spectra says he prefers the latter as Darkor says that I guess we should begin with your test, if you are that ready for it. The scene shifts back to Spectra and Helios standing in front of Darkor. Spectra says he is ready for anything he throws at them with Helios agreeing, saying bring it on. Darkor smiles and says very well but first – he wants them to take a look at this. Then, he waves his hand and the same group of images he was viewing a minute ago appear in front of Spectra and Helios. Spectra then notices that these images are that of himself from the past when he was evil incarnate and a member of the Vexos. Spectra ignores it at first while continuing to look at the pictures but then, he swipes his hand through them (making them disappear) and asks what is the purpose of this and what does it have to do with his test. Darkor says he has used his powers of seeing into the past and has seen that Spectra used to be evil and dangerous. But he also saw that thanks to your friend Dan Kuso and the other Brawlers, he switched to the side of good and has become an invaluable ally time and time again. Spectra smiles and says yes – Dan and the others brought me out of my darkness and will eternally grateful for that. Darkor then gets stern and says that’s the problem with Spectra asking what problem. Darkor then says let me give you a lesson about darkness – no matter how evil somebody used to be before turning to the right side and no matter how much good they do after that – it’s what is lurking inside that is the problem. Darkor points to Spectra and says inside of you are the dark thoughts that influenced you – the ones of ruling your home planet of Vestal, creating the Ultimate Bakugan through your partner Helios and harnessing the Ultimate power of the universe – are still inside you. He continues by saying that while you do not act on them anymore and in a way “suppressed” them – it presents a serious problem for Darkor himself. He does not want to give his power to someone who still has those thoughts not only in him but in his Bakugan as well because if he does – it could release the darkness inside Spectra and “amplify” those dark thoughts; meaning he could use his powers for evil purposes again and that is something he cannot allow. Helios says quickly don’t make accusations but Darkor points at Helios, saying he the same problem as his partner – he still believes he should be the Ultimate Bakugan and is more powerful that Drago. Darkor says as he already mentioned - you may not acknowledge those thoughts anymore but while they are there – they can still influence his actions and if he gave his power to someone like that, bad things will happen. Darkor says he is not entirely sure if Spectra is the one worthy of receiving his powers when he has this predicament. Spectra says strongly that he is correct – he used to be evil but he has overcome those thoughts and is willing to prove it in any way he can. Darkor smiles and says since Spectra’s specialty is brawling, let’s see if he can literally “conquer” those dark thoughts. He holds out his right hand (showing a Darkus symbol on the palm) and fires a blast of Darkus energy at Spectra and Helios. It hits them and a glowing, dark aura forms around Spectra and Helios with them both in some pain. Then, the aura appears to take a life of its own and flies into an arch into the air and lands a few feet in front of Spectra and Helios. Spectra and Helios shake their heads a bit, look up and they see the aura taking form. As it slowly takes shape from the feet up, Spectra and Helios are in shock as it forms into Spectra himself in his Pyrus outfit! He is standing there with his arms crossed and on his shoulders are Viper Helios, Cyborg Helios, Helios MK2 and the canister of his old Bakugan Traps are at his left side. Spectra asks Darkor what is going on - how come there are two of me? as Darkor says in order for him to pass his test – he will have to battle against these dark thoughts in their entirety – by battling head on against his evil self from the distant past. Spectra is a bit taken back as the evil Spectra smiles and says this is going to be fun as his lone eye lights up a bright red color as Darkor watches on, saying to himself he wishes Keith the best but knows what lies in store for him. The scene shifts back to the confrontation between the good Spectra and the evil Spectra. The evil Spectra says you were wrong to abandon their vision and will make sure he fixes that for good – once he takes back control. The three Helios all concur saying that the Helios before them is an impostor – their goal was to be the Ultimate Bakugan and he has abandoned it to be with "friends" Helios MK2 saying some upgrades will fix that after this battle while the good Helios says they are using old technology and will trounce them easily. Spectra snaps out of it and says Helios is right and they will pass this test. The evil Spectra says let’s get it on, Spectra as Darkor says let the battle between good versus evil begin. The field lights up as both Spectra’s take their positions and the evil Spectra says he will let him have the 1st move, seeing as how he will need it. The good Spectra says no, after you because you will need it more than me. The evil Spectra says how generous - he remembers when he would never do anything for anybody (which causes Spectra to be a bit hesitant); then says let’s get going as he sets a Gate Card and throws out Viper Helios. Spectra then asks Helios if he is ready for this with Helios saying he’s more than ready – so Spectra throws him out. The old Spectra starts off quickly by activating a double ability (General Quasar + Nova Defender) but Spectra says that’s nothing and says “Ability Activate – Ebony Quasar!” which Helios uses to negate the attacks easily and deal some damage. Spectra then says “Ability Activate – Slide Roller!” which forms a pair of skates on his feet as he speeds things up. However, the old Spectra isn’t phased at all as he then throws out Cyborg Helios and Metalfencer –with Metalfencer combining with Viper Helios. Cyborg Helios wiffs his tail and knocks Helios down. Viper Helios says that was a pathetic attempt at making them dizzy – where’s all that power he used to have or did he give it all up just to be a nice guy? Helios gets angry and starts to attack wildly with Cyborg Helios now chiming in – saying they gave up a part of themselves to be the Ultimate Bakugan; how could be let all their sacrifices be for nothing. Spectra tells Helios not to listen to them but the old Spectra quickly remarks why not, which takes Spectra back. The old Spectra says they chose to follow the path of evil, they chose to be Vexos and they both chose to conquer the universe and create the Ultimate Bakugan – how could he let the Brawlers and especially their mortal enemy, Dan Kuso, stop him? Spectra says that’s not true – he realized what he was doing was wrong and that Dan saved him from his darkness. The old Spectra laughs and says he was never saved – just misguided as he asks if he remembers this as he activates the canister and brings out Maxus Helios! The evil Spectra then activates Pararidle Fire which Helios takes some damage from but Spectra says "Ability Activate - FARBAS Reboot!" which brings Helios power level back to normal and to full health. Spectra says he will go down just the same as he says “Ability Activate –Arma-Cannon!” which causes Helios arms to change into two large cannons and fires them – separating Helios from the Bakugan Traps. The old Spectra says that was fun but this is battle is far from being over. He then throws out Helios MK2 and attacks using Blackout Cannon, which injures Helios again. Spectra then says “Ability Activate – FARBAS-G7!” which heals Helios and makes him immune to all attacks for a limited time. The evil Spectra laughs and says if he thinks his advanced tech will save him – think again. Spectra looks confused as the evil Spectra says it’s time to remind him what they accomplished and what he was too scared to use since he isn’t held back as he pulls out a Forbidden Ability Card – Nova Blazer X. He uses it on Viper Helios and he attacks Helios which knocks Helios out. Spectra tries to tell the evil Spectra not to use those or else he will harm his Bakugan but the evil Spectra laughs and says what’s the point of power if he doesn’t use it and even if Helios died – he would have found another to take his place. Viper Helios then says he relishes the power and wants more but he won’t be leaving anytime soon. Spectra then says it’s time to show some new things as he pulls out two more Forbidden Ability Cards with Spectra gasping while saying not those. The evil Spectra says yes these – because you got soft and refused to use them and says “Forbidden Ability Cards Activate – Vortex Blast X and Blaze Destroyer X!” Each one equips to Cyborg Helios and Helios MK2 respectively – which increases their power to tremendous heights and makes them appear more mechanical and deadly. Helios says he now sees why Spectra never used them on him as the evil Spectra says if you had this power – you could have taken over the whole universe but you chickened out and now you will suffer a thousand fold. He then says he's another reminder of the past as he brings out Twin Destructor and equips it to Helios MK2. He then activates his Gate Card - Transducer; which takes all of Helios' power. Evil Spectra says this was fun but it's over. Spectra says yes it is as the evil one looks confused as Spectra says "Ability Activate - Blast Core Impact!" which gives Helios a tremedous boost of power and he takes all the enemy Helios's easily. The evil Spectra wonders what happened as Spectra says he knew what Gate Card he would have placed so he let him take all of Helios' power to activate this ability - which gives him enormous power. Helios says that felt good and is ready for more. The evil Spectra and says well, that reminds him of what he used to do back at the Vexos - it appears you like power since you were willing do that. Spectra and Helios are taken back as the evil one says how they loved to do that, didn't they back in the day? He then says if your ready, let's continue the brawl. Spectra then sets his own Gate Card and throws Helios again. The evil Spectra retaliates by throwing out everything at once from the previous battle but instead of bringing out Twin Destructor - he brings out Zukanator for Helios MK2. The evil Spectra says this is going to be funas Spectra sneers while saying he will do whatever it takes to take him down. The evil Spectra calmly says I'm sure you will - after all, we are one in the same. Spectra then says "Ability Activate - Centurion Cannon!" which opens a cannon in Helios' chest and he fires, injuring the opponents. The evil Spectra says that's nothing and activates FARBAS D2 - healing everybody. Spectra gets angry again and says "Ability Activate - Mace Impact!" which conjures a large, black like mace weapon as Helios goes on the attack. But he keeps on missing and Helios is getting more and more frustrated. Cyborg Helios says your attacks are weak and pathetic as Helios MK2 says where's the power or did you lose it? Helios gets angry and fires all over the place with Spectra trying to settle him down. But the evil Spectra says quickly if Helios believes power is everything - you should too and should embrance it as Spectra starts to get angry as well. Spectra says this has been fun but he thinks it's about time to finish this off. He then brings out 9 Ability Cards and says "Triple Ability Activate x 3!" as he activates nine abilities simultaneously for all three Helios and they all attack Helios, who tries to hold his ground but then, the evil Spectra brings out the three Forbidden Ability Cards (Nova Blazer X, Vortex Blast X and Blaze Destroyer X) - powering all three Helios' again and it knocks Helios down hard. Spectra hurries over to find out if he's fine as the evil Spectra says you shouldn't be concerned for his well being. Spectra looks up angrily at the evil Spectra as he goes on by saying if he loses, you can get another Bakugan who will do the job he failed at but then again, you failed as well in not embracing the power and hate within you - that's the only way you can defeat him. Spectra looks down and starts to say yes, he needs power and I'll do anything to get it. The evil Spectra says good bye as all three Helios attack Spectra, knocking him back next to Helios. Spectra says this battle is over and prepares a final strike but then, something happens. A shroud of darkness builds around Spectra while he’s down and he gets up. The same darkness shrouds around Helios as he slowly gets up as well. The evil Spectra says the new look suits you but it won't last as all three Helios' attack - causing lots of smoke The evil Spectra laughs and says that finishes this but then, he sees four red lights in the smoke. Just then, the good Helios comes out in a dark rage and knocks all the enemy Helios’ down hard. Spectra, now in a weird tone of voice and with a dark aura around him orders Helios to destroy, destroy some more and show them no mercy – with Helios saying he will enjoy this immensely as Spectra says “Ability Activate – Strike Detonator!” which causes Helios to fire all over the place – heavily injuring all of his former enemies. The evil Spectra tries to act helpless and asks Spectra to stop before he hurts his Bakugan/begging for mercy but Spectra, consumed by the darkness, says that is a sign of weakness and he will exterminate it forever with Helios saying by the time he’s through with them – they will be screaming for mercy but he won't show any. They both yell out that they will be the Ultimate Brawler and Bakugan but then, a stream of dark energy builds up and it fired up into the air as Darkor, just sitting in his chair with this elbows on his lap, says calmly that this is unexpected. Then, out of the sky, comes a Darkus warrior type Mechtogan and he says his name is Infinitor. Spectra then says sadistically "Gate Card Open - Silent Land!" which freezes all the opponent Bakugan/enemy Helios'. The evil Spectra says he doesn't have a move with the good Spectra saying too bad - your time is over. He then orders the Mechtogan to obliterate everything and leave nothing in its path. The Mechtogan, now known as Infintor, says as you command and he opens up – revealing 5 mega sized cannons with several smaller ones on the barrels. He then says evil will reign supreme and he attacks – obliterating all three Helios’ and the evil Spectra. Spectra cries out in pain but secretly, he smiles and a huge explosion occurs. After the smoke clears, all there is left is a huge crater and nobody there. Infinitor says his work is completed and he disappears as the dark aura leaves Spectra and Helios and they fall unconscious. All this time, Darkor was watching with a concerned look and saying this is not good at all. At the end of the battle, Spectra and Helios start to slowly get up and wonder what happened. Helios say she doesn’t know but he doesn’t seen their evil twins. Spectra says it must mean that they have won and therefore, they passed the test easily. They both get excited that they won and believing they passed but then, they look at Darkor and they see he is not exactly happy as his eyes are closed in a stern, meditative look. Spectra asks what is wrong – they won the battle so they passed right? Darkor opens his eyes and says you both have forgotten what the purpose of this test was. He says this test was not whether you won or lost the brawl – it was whether you could conquer the dark thoughts within you, no matter how bleak or hopeless the brawl became, and judging by what happened – they let those thoughts take them over again and from what he saw, they took over him completely. Spectra says that can't be right but then, Darkor projects an image of what Spectra and Helios did the past few minutes of the battle while saying they did this damage themselves. They both realize that they really did fail the test and get sad. Darkor says he had high hopes for them since they are exceptional Brawlers but after witnessing that display, and especially with them creating a Mechtogan of evil – he cannot grant them the powers he possesses and therefore, they did not pass their test. Spectra and Helios are confused and ask what Mechtogan with Darkor saying when they were under the influence of their dark thoughts – they used their powers to summon a Mechtogan named Infinitor as he shows them another image of them summoning him and being used. Both of them are surprised with Darkor mentioning that it only stayed until it was not needed but it was created from and specifically - for evil intentions. And even if they were able to get rid of the dark thoughts controlling themselves – getting them out of that being would not be an easy task. Spectra and Helios both get sad at themselves for not resisting better and ask Darkor if he would give them another chance but Darkor says sternly he doesn’t give second chances. Spectra and Helios are sad again as Darkor says it is unfortunate for them but he will have to find someone who is not like this and who can use his powers for all the right reasons. He then says come – you should join your friends. They reluctantly follow behind him as Spectra thinks of how he could have let himself be taken over, let alone creating an evil Mechtogan. Helios says he knows how he feels as they continue walking along the pathway with Darkor. Meanwhile, inside Spectra’s mind – the darkness inside of him (his Pyrus self) is sitting on a high-back chair chuckling to himself. His Helios’ ask why don’t they take him over now while he is weak and can get back on track with evil Spectra saying keep your cool, Helios. He says it’s only a matter of time before Spectra’s back to his old self. And once he’s back in control – he’ll focus on his goal once again –defeating Dan Kuso and Drago and ruling the universe!
