Poppistan is a district within the Kalistani province of Vrassa. Poppistan is the only Vrassan district that is entirely surrounded by other parts of Vrassa. The capital of Poppistan is Razar. Located on the northern limit of the arid Neveras Plateau, most of poppistan is hilly and dry, traversed by deep, fertile valleys that run down to the Vrassa River from the Vrassan Mountains at the northern limit of the district. Poppistan is a largely agricultural region, and its chief crop is opium, hense its name.

Located on the northern limit of the arid Neveras Plateau, most of poppistan is hilly and dry, traversed by deep, fertile valleys that run down to the Vrassa River from the Vrassan Mountains at the northern limit of the district. Poppistan is a largely agricultural region, and its chief crop is opium, hense its name. Poppistan is one of the most historically interesting districts of Vrassa. It's capital, Razar, was the original capital of the ancient Vrassan Empire, and during the Odoronan and Anantan Empires served as the site of the coronation of the Floob (Emperor). Razar's position as the capital of Vrassa was unchallenged for centuries until the capital was moved the Anantonese colony of Vrassa City. It is still a point of contention that Razar and its hinterland as considered seperate from the district of "Vrassa Proper." Poppistan is also home to Red Pass, the largest pass through the Vrassan Mountains, of great strategic importance in the many conflicts Kalistan has had with Jahmaika and Lodamun. Seven battles have been fought in the Red Pass, many of them the decisive battles of wars.
