The Laughing Chamber is an unusual room in the palace of the Queen of Merryland which adjoins the Musical Chamber. The walls are painted with the faces of hundreds of laughing children of all shapes and colors. The carpet is woven in a pattern of laughing faces, and the furniture is covered with carved faces all laughing. When anyone lays upon the bed, a sweet chorus of soothing laughter fills the room. When Tot Thompson visited Merryland, he slept in the Laughing Chamber. (Dot and Tot of Merryland)
