Between 1989 and 1999, Dave Benson Phillips was also a presenter on Playdays, especially its memorable "Playground Stop" segment, in which he enabled viewers to become knowledgeable about Makaton, a basic sign language. After Get Your Own Back discontinued production, he kept a busy work schedule in children's and preschool educational television, particularly for the BBC and Playhouse Disney. In addition, he presented links for the SKY channel "Babestation", in which he gave a cheeky and irreverent commentary on the filth taking place. He also hosted a local weekly segment every day on the Worthing, West Sussex radio station, 107.7 SPLASH FM. He produced a video of Makaton Nursery Rhymes in 2001, being a very rare example of sign language video recordings for children. (www.davebensonphillips.co.uk)
