| - Shahrewar Falenas was Queen Olhazeta Falenas' firstborn daughter and as such was the Crown Princess of Falena. During the last decade of Olhazeta's reign, Falzrahm Falenas, Shahrewar's younger sister, conspired with Salum Barows, head of the House of Barows and cousin to Falzrahm's husband, Kauss Barows, against Shahrewar. Before Olhazeta's death, Falzrahm and Salum persuaded Olhazeta to allow Arshtat Falenas, Falzrahm's daughter, to have her Sacred Games before those of Haswar Falenas, Shahrewar's daughter. Despite Haswar's future right to the throne as eldest granddaughter, Olhazeta, now an aging monarch, reluctantly agreed to Falzrahm's demands and Arshtat married Ferid Egan, the victor of her Sacred Games. The years following Olhazeta's death in 438 saw the eruption of a violent succession struggle between Shahrewar and Falzrahm. Both princesses used Nether Gate assassins to murder their opponents and the resulting deaths included Shahrewar's husband, Mardas Godwin. Under Shahrewar's orders, Falzrahm's husband, Kauss Barows, was murdered as well as Salum Barows' firstborn son, Hiram Barows. Eventually, being unable to bear any more bloodshed, Shahrewar abdicated her right to the throne to Falzrahm. Despite the sincerity of this gesture, Falzrahm had Shahrewar murdered by Nether Gate to ensure her succession to the throne.
