Player: TyrantSabre Race: R2-model astromech droid Class: Scoundrel 2 Role: Slicer/Astromech Sheet: R2-P3 First manufactured in the waning days of the Republic, R2-P3's first owner Eljo Bannik was a huckster who bought him ostensibly as copilot for his starship, but in truth was mostly put to work helping the huckster identifying marks, relieving them of their credits, and then providing a distraction while his master got to safety. In the several occasions where the distraction only bought them time instead of a clean getaway, P3 put his piloting skills to work in escaping justice.

In the several occasions where the distraction only bought them time instead of a clean getaway, P3 put his piloting skills to work in escaping justice. He was unable to help Eljo escape what was coming to him, though, when a hustle gone wrong in a gambling den left his master dead on the floor with a blaster hole in his belly. His new master Gly Dath turned out to be a more violent sort, a space pirate, and used P3's piloting talents to help him waylay travellers. His luck too ran out when he jumped a convoy that happened to be guarded by Jedi fighters, and needless to say, he was scragged. P3 was somewhat luckier, in that he was by and large undamaged in the attack, and the Jedi in question hauled him in, cleaned him up, and dragged him back to Coruscant to work in the Jedi Temple. He actually wound up being dragged around on various adventures by Jedi Master Liran Sol and his Padawan Era-Yan Mindra, up until the Rise of the Empire, when the Temple was purged and he was set to work in various Imperial facilities until after the Battle of Endor, when Rebel commandoes captured his assigned post. Through it all, R2-P3 has gotten grim. Clerical errors and untimely Rebel attacks conspired to keep him from getting memory-wiped, and he's been unable to save no fewer than five former masters - Eljo, Gly, Era-Yan, and a subsequent pair of Imperial officers who earned his respect - from violent ends. As a result, he's dour and mercenary, unwilling to get too close to anybody lest they too wind up dead, and should his newest master get killed, well...
