  • The "Ghost Brother" was a Confederate ghost assigned to wipe out a cult, the Church of Besainted Pelagius. He succeeded in killing several high-ranking members before Pelagius used an invention to catch it. Pelagius used his neural inhibitor to control it, and used the same technology to control other cultists as well. Years later, a Kel-Morian salvage team arrived on the planet, the Ghost Brother beginning the same kind of work he'd done when he was loyal to the Confederacy. The team's two combat members were killed while he managed to capture the team's engineer. The last surviving member, a technical specialist, tried to escape, the Ghost Brother in pursuit. At the last second he drew off, only to enter the team's salvage vessel and set it on a course away from the planet, ensuring that the Combine would not come to the planet for its missing team.
