- Philip Amara, called Phil for short, was an editor for Dark Horse Comics beginning in 1995. He served as editor for several Star Wars comics, including Hoth and Fortune, Fate, and the Natural History of the Sarlacc, featured in Star Wars Tales #5 and #6 respectively. Since then, Amara left Dark Horse to work on projects of his own creation.
- Philip D. Amara is an American comic book writer and editor who has worked on numerous comic books in Dark Horse Comics' Aliens, Predator and Aliens vs. Predator lines. Outside of Dark Horse, Amara also wrote and released the book How to Be a Comic Book Artist, with fellow Aliens contributor Pop Mahn.
