(VOY: "Human Error") Icheb called the play by its Latin name, Oedipus Rex, while the original name is Oι̉δίπoυς τύραννoς, or Oedipus tyrannos. According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 2, p. 102) , this tragedy was about "a man who becomes the leader of an ancient nation-state, while fulfilling a prophecy that he would murder his father and marry his mother."
