Elected to Metropolitan Borough of Battersea, 1922; Councillor, 1922–25; Alderman, 1925–31 Member of LCC, 1928–31, 1934–37, 1946–49 and 1952–65 (for Bermondsey); on several Committees. Article in Who’s Who and picture here [1] Represented (Lab): Southwark for Labour on the Greater London Council 1964 – 1967 His brother, Joseph Simeon Samuels, was also a member of both the London County Council and GLC.
