Ceratitida is an order of ammonoid cephalopods most of which come from the Triassic. Shells vary in form. Sutures are typically ceratitic with smooth saddles and serrate lobes, and often have multiple elements. They are thought to have their origin in the Daraelitidae in the Late Permian.
