Description
  • It seems there are a number of Mimics that emit Haze to attack their prey. How they are able to do this has always been a mystery... do they produce the Haze in their bodies like a fungus, or do they collect Haze to expel when needed? :Pale Steeds that we've found in the Ridgeback Highlands seem to have a never-ending supply of Haze to use when attacking. If we could recover some specimen from a Pale Steed, I could see if it offers any clues. Do you time to help out, -Player-? [sic] :... :Welcome back, -Player-. On a few of the Pale Steed Muzzles you found, there were a number of fungus-like growths inside the nostrils. Many of these were ruptured, which leads me to believe that Haze may produced in these growth pockets, and when the Pale Steed lets forth a gust of air, these pockets burst and expel Haze through its muzzle. :It must replenish that Haze quickly though, so it can do it again the next time it notices an attacker. Maybe these growths are fungus that breed inside its nostrils to produce the Haze, or maybe the Pale Steed has developed organs and tissues that are similar to the Haze-producing fungus.
