Hi! Have you thought about merging your work into Blue Shinra? Have you already worked out a relationship with Blue Shinra? i havent talked to them, really didnt see a reason to. --Shane613 13:14, 16 Mar 2005 (EST) The structure and content of the Blue Shinra isn't really what we envisioned, of course if the Wiki Public decides to go the route of the vision that is presented at FFWiki it would have to be further considered.--Arckanghel 16:12, 16 Mar 2005 (EST) Perhaps something explaining how the visions of the two wiki differ? • Okay having just stopped by for a quick update on the goings on around, I've gotta say I felt a little "awwww" after hearing support from Smeg, Faethin and Maverick King; I think that Blue and MMIL were far better choices, though. And even once I get back full-time, that will most likely still be the case. I miss you guys ^_^
  • Awww.... I didn't say you don't care, Hecko... :P And I do appreciate the support . ^_^ I know adding a new admin has been talked about before, but not in this specific instance, you know what I mean? If the admins still don't think it's necessary to add another admin at this time, that's fine. Just say the word.
  • Hey there, Kiddies! Did you miss me? I'm back, I'm bored, and I'm looking for trouble! Treat me right, and I'll teach you kiddies aaaaaalll about LOVE.
  • Sounds good to me. I don't think those individual species pages really had enough info on them to warrant separate pages. I agree that the info would be better presented in a single page. Good idea, Bluer! ^_^
  • Well, yeah, I know that MMIL and Gold probably should be admined before anybody else. But I think being an admin isn't just about being higher hierarchy, it's about how much you can help. Right now, I wouldn't see admining Blue as a reward for Blue, I'd see it as a big help to the Wiki. I've already mentioned it: the problem is that we don't have an admin on a timezone that would allow for patrolling at late night . The vandal attack of yesterday should be enough reason to convince anybody of this.
  • Hi all, just to let you know there may be some intermittent downtime between 3am and 7am UTC tomorrow . We are adding some more servers, and will have to move things around a bit. Sorry for the disturbance
  • I think it bumped into a dead end. Some of the people that posted anything didn't seem to understand that I wanted to nominate Blue because I thought the Wiki needed it, not just because I didn't have something better to do. And for the record, I think you'd be a very good admin.
  • For purely geographical reasons, and since its happened twice this week, that no admin's been around during a vandal attack, I propose we admin Blue. Seriously, I think the Wiki's big enough to need 24-hour vigilance already.
  • Well, drat. I thought at least Diablo would still be on. Oh well. I see what you mean, Faethin, and I do think it's a good idea. It is a bit problematic that all of our admins are in either Europe or the US, I think. Bluer's done a really good job contributing to this wiki, so if we wanted an admin in another part of the world, I'd say Bluer's definitely our guy. The question remains, however, of whether or not the admins want to add another admin at this time. I guess we can only hope one of them will log on soon and see this discussion. I can't keep bumping this all day! :P
  • Make me an admin; I'll take /real/ good of the wiki~!
  • Piss me off, and I'll have my personal way with you *insert obligatory evil laugh here*
  • I too disagree with the nomination for Bluerfn. Goldberry2000 or MMIL would receive my vote for adminship.
  • I was browsing the Wikipedia, because I am very bored at work, often times. I came upon something interesting. The wikipedia features collapsable menues. In briefly looking over the code for this, I have to admit I'm kind of confounded. I was wondering if it is possible to do it here? Does anyone know how to do it? Do you all think it would be a reasonable alternative to the rather huge Magic/Game/Job templates we've been making?
  • BUMP! Did this ever get resolved? I see that no admins have weighed in on this. I didn't even know about this discussion until I randomly decided to come here and see what happened to be going on. I think I will at least refrain from weighing in on this for the time being.

LionKimbro well, i can say that after taking a look at blue shinra's wiki, we are making ours with more attention to detail, a better interface, more to look at basically... --Shane613 19:09, 16 Mar 2005 (EST) The thought process behind the Blue SHinra project seems to be ushered in behind massive amounts of information. We would like this project to evolve much in the way the Wikimedia Foundation projects have with thought and attention to detail coming first through discussion.--Arckanghel 19:38, 16 Mar 2005 (EST) BlueShinra is very ugly..I don't really think that this site is equivalent to that. This site is far superior and I'm glad to have recently become a member of the community. --Spongey 21:18, 27 Jan 2006 (EST) Do Not Merge: Blue Shinra's site doesn't even work all that well, and I have no clue how to edit it.
