Rab Butler was a british conservative politician who held several cabinet posts, including Chancellor of the Exchequer (1955), Home secretary (1955 - 1958) and Foreign Secretary (1958 - 1959). He is one of only a handful of politicians (the others being Roy Jenkins, James Callaghan and Michael Howard) to hold three or more of the great offices if state.
