During the USEA Federation's uprising, the treaty was a major driver behind operations such as the destruction of Stonehenge Type-3, since the targeting satellites used by the Stonehenge networks were part of the treaty. Efforts by the United Nations to disable the satellites providing control to the QFA-44 Carmilla units were curtailed by opposition from South America under unknown grounds.
