Henry Dyck was born on September 5, 1912, in Herbert, Saskatchewan. Dyck was a professional centre. He played one NHL game with the New York Rangers in 1943-44. He played junior hockey with the Calgary Jimmies and the Calgary Canadians from 1928-30. He turned pro in 1930-31 with the Seattle Eskimos of the Pacific Coast Hockey League. He spent the next ten years in the minor pros in the western half of North America. In 1941-42 he was on the first all-star team with the Johnstown Bluebirds of the Eastern Hockey League. This led to his getting a spot on the New York Rangers in 1943-44.
