- Don Porter ( - July 11, 1958) is a former NASCAR driver from Redding, CA. He competed in nine Nextel Cup Series events in his career, earning four top-tens. Porter's debut came in 1956, when the driver competed at Eureka. Starting 21st in the field of twenty-five, that's right where Porter would finish after an axle issue. Porter's final six races came in 1957, when he finished 49th in points after a much better year than 1956. He returned to Portland for his season debut and immediately left an impact, finishing 8th, just a few laps off the pace. The rest of his season went that way as well, finishing no worse than 16th and finishing in the top-eleven five times. That included a career-best 6th place run at Eureka, an 8th place run at Sacramento, and a 9th place run at San Jose in his final career event.
