Daniel Young was first elected to the Commune of J Andres in the 2068 Elections, representing a district north of Boston. In the 2076 elections, the Anchor party won a majority. Although Rupert Garfield continued to lead the Anchor party in the Commune after his stint as Premier, the party determined a new face should lead the party into a new era. Young was selected by a overwhelming majority of the senators to serve as the Premier.
