Matt Harrold's pair of goals and Kayne McLaggon's debut for Rovers were both overshadowed by Plymouth's remarkable recovery in a match that was very much a game of two halves. Rovers had dominated the opening period of this League Two game, and two goals from Harrold, one of which was from the spot, saw The Pirates go into the break comfortably ahead of their opponents. What seemed like a different Plymouth side took the field for the second half however, and after Warren Feeney and Nick Chadwick had leveled the scores Ashley Hemmings proved to be The Pilgrims' hero and slotted in the winner in the third minute of injury time.

  • Matt Harrold's pair of goals and Kayne McLaggon's debut for Rovers were both overshadowed by Plymouth's remarkable recovery in a match that was very much a game of two halves. Despite their heroics Plymouth suffered the unusual fate of winning a match but dropping down to the bottom of the league table after Dagenham & Redbridge, the only team below them, also won but by a bigger margin. Rovers, meanwhile, had now gone two months and six games without a win, and pressure on manager Paul Buckle to produce some results was building.
