The 2010–11 Pittsburgh Penguins season is the 43rd season of the franchise in the National Hockey League (NHL). They will start the season in their new CONSOL Energy Center, adjacent from the old Mellon Arena, the 3rd smallest and oldest arena in the NHL. The Penguins will also host the 2011 NHL Winter Classic against the Washington Capitals at Heinz Field, home of the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers.
