| - Holy Shrines are structures with magical capabilities to enhance jewels, transferring some magical properties to them. Gems can be enchanted by a druid or sorcerer above level 30 with a premium account. All shrines, however, cannot be reached by a single vocation. Each of the two vocations have access to their prominent elements' shrines. That is, druids can enchant sapphires and emeralds to attain enchanted ones (ice and earth, respectively), while sorcerers can enchant amethysts and rubies (energy and fire). Gems enchanted with an element can in turn be used on weapons to give temporal elemental powers, whose damage will be in part dealt in the element it has had attributed to it. Not all items can be enchanted. Gems can also be used to enchant the Rainbow Shield, which has its own set of enhancements. Gems will not return to the owner upon being used - they will disappear forever once the charges have been depleted. You cannot reacquire the gems once bound to an item. Enchanting a gemstone requires the raw gem and 300 mana. You enchant them by using the gemstones on the appropriate shrine. Note that the shrine's location is concealed, you can only access it by portals. They are also located inside protection zones, so nothing from outside can harm you. Every city has a teleporter hallway with four archways that will take you to each shrine.
