  • Peter Lawson (1854-28 October 1929). Born in Bishopwearmouth, County Durham, he was the son of Peter Lawson, a master tailor. By the age of 16 he was employed as a "shopman" and living in Jarrow. In 1876 he married Ellen Willis in South Shields, and by 1885 the couple were living in Fulham. Lawson was working as a tailors and clothiers tradesman. By 1901 he had his own tailor's shop. With the creation of the Metropolitan Borough of Fulham in 1900, Lawson became a member of the borough council. He served as Mayor of Fulham for 1902-03.

In 1876 he married Ellen Willis in South Shields, and by 1885 the couple were living in Fulham. Lawson was working as a tailors and clothiers tradesman. By 1901 he had his own tailor's shop. With the creation of the Metropolitan Borough of Fulham in 1900, Lawson became a member of the borough council. He served as Mayor of Fulham for 1902-03. He was elected to the London County Council as a Progressive Party councillor representing Fulham in 1901, and retained the seat in 1904 resigning on 17 October 1905. By 1911 he was working as a rate collector for Fulham Borough Council.
