The Church of Infinite Perception was a rigid, fundamentalist religion of the planet Pergitor. Following the disorganization resulting in a liberal coup of 37 BBY, the Church gained followers, and launched a coup of its own in 22 BBY, just before the start of the Clone Wars. Thousands of Pergitorians were killed, the previous ruling families were exiled, and the Church controlled the planet as a theocracy. Rule by a figure known as "the Preceptor," the Church condemned "liberal decadence" and forbade displays of the paranormal.
