  • Quicklings are small, fast moving and malicious fey that hate all other races.
  • Quicklings were a rare breed of brownie that were once like any other brownies, but they sought out dark and powerful magic. It was unknown whether they sought the power for altruistic purposes or not, but it was known that the power corrupted them entirely. They became savage hunters who were particularly cruel in their methods of killing. They hated humanoids of all kinds and wished nothing more than to kill them all. They were exceptionally adept ventriloquists, which they used to fool others into traps or other dangerous situations. Due to to their hyperactive behavior, no quickling ever lived past fifteen years.
  • Quickling is a type of monster in ADOM. They are fairy monsters that tend to show up in the mid game, and are found in huge numbers in the Quickling Tree. Quicklings are, as the name suggests, extremely fast, and very evasive. Whilst weak, their attacks seem to always penetrate armor, and their speed allows them to get several hits in and retreat to a safe distance. They are mainly just a nuisance, though can be quite a worrying one if the PC is running low on health and trying to retreat to a safe distance. They are usually very easy to kill despite their large DV.
  • Quicklings are nymph-like monster introduced in SLASH'EM. True to their name they are extremely fast, having a speed of 30, exceeded by nothing except the air elemental. They are also able to attack with weapons, although not for very much damage. They only appear in Gehennom and the Lawful Quest.

  • A blur of color and a hint of movement are the only clues most people have of the existence of the quickling. Great speed and small size make it difficult to find and focus on these swift beings.
