While at Birchmount Park Collegiate Institue, Keon was a three-sport star. She participated in ice hockey, basketball and soccer. Keon also participated with the Ajax United soccer club. In 2009, Keon was the only female athlete in Ontario to win the provincial championship and national silver medal in both hockey and soccer. The silver medal in hockey was won with the Scarborough Sharks at the 2009 Esso Cup. Later, Keon played for the Etobicoke Dolphins Intermidiate AA hockey club. In her final season with the Dolphins, Keon led the team in numerous categories: points (34), goals (18), assists (16), game-winning goals (five), shorthanded goals (three) and face-off percentage (69%).
