About a month later, she finds a girl named Michaela (Miku) collapsed in the woods. They quickly becomes very close and decide to run away to the capital, Aceid, and start new lives together. While living in Aceid, they work for a pair of wealthy merchants and are content with their lives. But one day King Kyle Marlon (KAITO) stops by the mansion and falls for Michaela and dissolves his engagement to Princess Riliane (Rin) of Lucifenia. Riliane orders all the women with green hair to be killed and Michaela perishes in the slaughter. Clarith sinks into depression once again, wishing she could have died in her place. A year later, Clarith lives as a nun in Lucifenia when she discovers a girl, Rin, passed out outside the church. The quickly become close, but one day she stumbles across her confessing her sins and curses herself for not realizing it earlier, Rin is Riliane, the one who caused Michaela's demise. Filled with wrath, Clarith grabs a knife and goes to stab Riliane at the beach, but hinders herself in the last moment, realizing Riliane is just like she was before, alone and hated. Clarith watches over Riliane as she becomes more independent, learning how to do chores and becomes a great cook, thinking back on how right before she brought the knife down on Riliane, a boy (Len) stopped her.
