The Glowing spidervine is a species of plant-like flora indigenous to Tallon IV. It is carnivorous, and uses bioluminescent light - presumably produced from bacteria inside itself - to attract its prey: insects. It is not dangerous to larger organisms, especially so in the case of armored Bounty Hunters such as Samus. It has so far only been found in Metroid Prime.

- The Glowing Spidervines of Tallon IV are a species of carnivorous flora that are of no threat to intelligent species. Being flora and therefore unable to move from its anchorings, it relies on prey coming to it; to attract prey it utilizes bioluminescent light, which is likely produced by a bacterial organism inside of itself. Their prey of choice are small, insectoid organisms.
