| - After Alex arrived in Tree Hill, she immediately made her attraction to Julian known despite him being with Brooke at the time. Their often flirtatious relationship was intensified when Julian started working closely with Alex on a script which Alex wrote. Their working relationship was often complicated by Alex's behavior around him, such as undressing for him to prove the realism of a scene she wrote, and it affected Brooke greatly who refused to trust Alex around her boyfriend. However, when the script was finished Alex worried that she would lose contact with Julian and sought ways to stay in his life. Julian confronted her and told her that he didn't love her, he didn't even like her leading a devastated Alex to try and kill herself. After finding her, Julian promised to stay with her during her rehabilitation after finding out their movie would be made, in order to try and save her.
- Alex and Alexander had a one-night-stand after the movie shoot. However, a few episodes later it was revealed that they had slept together again, while Brooke mistakenly thought Alex had slept with Julian
- Alex and Josh had a one-night-stand, which he secretly recorded with his webcam. Although they then pretended for the press that they were in a real relationship and grew close with Josh's reveal of his sexuality.
- While at TRIC the two meet and flirted together they then soon went back to Clay's and had a one-night-stand. Alex later tried to repeat their one-night-stand although it didn't happen.
- After flirting in Utah the two embarked on a relationship. A big issue in their relationship was Chase's ex-girlfriend Mia Catalano and due to Mia the two had an on and off coupling and it was only after Chase was able to move on from Mia they could fully commit to each other. But soon after that Chase left for a year to go to the air force and despite dating other people the recoiled and were finally able to be a normal couple. But when Alex was offered a tour the two split.
- After Chase had left for the air force and after a few months of corresponding there letters. Alex started to see another guy who she was often seen around town flirting and kissing with by the paparazzi.
