The CSS Hot Springs was a Confederate Navy destroyer escort during the Second Great War. In 1943, the Josephus Daniels was repainted and her silhouette changed with sheet metal to resemble the Hot Springs. The name was also painted on both sides of her bow. This disguise was to assist her in running guns and Antonio Jones to Cuba.
