The Jardin des Tuileries, or Tuileries Gardens, is a public park located on the banks of the Seine in central Paris. Founded as a royal garden by Queen Catherine de' Medici in the 16th century, it became a public park after the French Revolution. The gardens are one of the most popular places in the city for Parisians to meet, relax, and promenade.
