| - Théoden (TE 2948 - TE 3019) – siedemnasty król Rohanu. Był synem Thengela i Morweny z Lossarnach oraz bratem Théodwiny, (miał jeszcze trzy inne siostry) wujem Eomera i Eowiny, oraz ojcem Theodreda. Był ostatnim potomkiem Eorla Młodego z drugiej dynastii władców Rohanu.
- Théoden, (* 2948, D.Z), auch Théoden Ednew (Rohirrisch: der Erneuerte) genannt, war der 17. König von Rohan und folgte seinem Vater Thengel im Jahr 2980 mit gerade 32 Jahren auf den Thron der Riddermark, bis er im Ringkrieg in der Schlacht auf dem Pelennor fiel. Er war der letzte König von Rohan der Zweiten Linie.

- Théoden was the seventeenth King of Rohan, and last of the Second Line of the royal house of House of Eorl.
- Théoden, detto Ednew, fu un uomo della stirpe dei Rohirrim, appartenente alla Casa di Eorl, che visse durante la Terza Era. When we first meet Théoden, he is under the power of Saruman by proxy; specifically, through the influence of the traitor Gríma Wormtongue. With Gandalf's help, Théoden throws off Saruman's influence and leads his people first to the famous battle against Saruman's Uruk-hai at Helm's Deep, and then to the aid of Gondor in the war against Sauron. Théoden dies in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields.
